Hope lives in Shelbyville, KY with her husband of 32 years. She has three daughters, one son-in-law, one granddaughter, and one grandson . She also houses three freeloading dogs and 4 house ruling cats, among the plant jungle they all live in. There is never a dull moment in the household.
Hope has taught crochet for over 10 years and has a passion to continue to spread the love of crochet to whomever wants to learn. Some of Hope's crochet items have won awards at local competitions including the Kentucky State Fair.
Hope learned to crochet when she was 5 starting with the chain stitch. The chain stitch was the only stitch she knew until the age of 10 when she learned how to do the single crochet. Through the years she learned the double, half double, treble (triple) stitches from friends. When she was 25 years old, she learned how to read a pattern. The first item created from a pattern was a granny square. From there the world was wide open and she never looked back.
Some of her favorite items to make are C2C (corner-to-corner) graphghans, reusable tote bags, purses, and anything for her grandchildren.
She currently owns Yarn Hub yarn shop in Shelbyville, KY.
